Giving Challenge

When you think about supporting something you are passionate about, you have probably thought about how much you can give, maybe even what would be a stretch to give.  But have you ever thought about what your dream gift would be… i.e. what you would give if money were no object?  At I-90 we have a dream this fall to raise $40,000 through our annual Giving Challenge to change the lives of people in need, both in our local community and around the world. And starting on November 1st  you can help make that dream a reality.  By coming together as one giving community, we believe we can raise $40,000 in 30 days.  How amazing would you feel to know that because of your gift and generosity, the dream came true?

To support the Giving Challenge give online HERE, on our I-90 Church App,  or during an upcoming Sunday service (just be sure to indicate that your gift is a donation towards the I-90 Giving Challenge).  To learn more about the great organizations that your gift will go to support, please see the descriptions below (100% of all challenge dollars will be donated to our mission partners).

Vine Maple Place

The mission of Vine Maple Place is to stop the cycle of homelessness by helping single parents and their children build lives of hope, stability and greater self-sufficiency.  They are dedicated to equipping families in crisis, wherever they are on the path of homelessness, with the skills they need to become stable and self-sufficient.  Recognizing there is a path that leads to homelessness, they have designed programs with the flexibility to meet families before, during, or after a homeless episode.  Learn more about Vine Maple Place HERE.

Dwellings/Honduras Missions

Dwellings is a charity that is committed to building homes and changing lives by providing shelter and hope for recipient families as well as a life changing experience for those involved in the building process.  I-90 Community Church partners with Dwellings and is building a house in March 2018 and a school in July 2018.  Your involvement will make a lasting difference in the lives of those who live in difficult living situations.  Learn more about Dwellings HERE.

Snoqualmie Valley Young Life

Young Life doesn’t start with a program. It starts with adults concerned enough about kids to go to them, on their turf and in their culture, building bridges of authentic friendship.  We believe in the power of presence.  Kids’ lives are dramatically impacted when caring adults come alongside them, sharing God’s love with them. Because their leader believes in them, they begin to see that their lives have great worth, meaning and purpose.  Learn more HERE.

Ending hunger one person at a time.  The mission of the Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank and the Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank is to provide basic needs to community members and to promote self-sufficiency.  Learn more about the Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank HERE and about the Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank HERE.

Run to Win Christian Sports Camps

Run to Win began with a simple prayer to the Lord in 1991 and a desire to make a difference in kids, athletes, and coaches lives through a commitment to Jesus Christ.  From the beginning, their purpose has been to "Share Christ through Sports".  Run to Win's motivation was to share God's love and hope through the vehicle of sports and encourage others in their personal journey with the Lord.  Learn more HERE.

Terra Nova Academy

The story of Terra Nova is a love story. Ultimately, it’s a story of God’s love. In 2008 a small group of committed members of the Bunga community began asking the question, “What would happen if we gave students in Uganda the very best in education?”  Terra Nova now  operates a soccer academy with over 100 students and a Christian preschool with over 32 children.  Learn more about their story HERE.
