Frequently Asked Questions
- Who are you? Where are you?
- We are a non-denominational, Christ-centered church started by a group of friends in the fall of 2008 and launched public services in September of 2009. It's our mission to “help people along the I-90 corridor and beyond to know and become like Jesus Christ.” We are located on the Eastside of Seattle at a place called KidzBounce in Preston, WA (just 2 minutes off I-90, exit 22) and our services are every Sunday at 10am (children's check-in opens at 9:30am).
- What is KidzBounce?
- KidzBounce is an uber-sweet business located in Preston, WA that has gigantic inflatable structures for kids to go nuts in while having a birthday party, youth event, etc. Since we place a high value on our ministry to children, we thought having our meetings at a place like KidzBounce would reflect that value well… not to mention the fact that the kids love getting to jump in giant inflatables at church! For directions to KizBounce, visit our Contact & Directions page. To learn more about KidzBounce, go to www.kidzbounce.com.
- Do you also have programs for youth?
- We currently have a separate program during the Sunday service for 5th-8th grade students. However, check-in for this program still takes place at the I-90 Kids check-in station. High school students participate in the adult service.
- Who leads the church?
- A team of qualified men, led by our Lead Pastor Dave Urban, have the responsibility of overseeing the life and operations of the church. Dave, specifically, has been in ministry on Seattle's Eastside for nearly nine years and holds a Masters of Theology degree from Bakke Graduate University in Seattle.
- What do you believe?
- The Bible is our foundation and framework for all matters relating to God, people and the world. To read more about our specific beliefs, click here.
- If a tree falls in the middle of the forest but no one is around to hear it fall, does it make a sound?
- Of course it does! Just because no one is around to hear sound, doesn’t mean sound ceases to exist. We’ve always thought that was such a ridiculous question…
